Jhené Aiko Clears Up 'Triggered' Song Rumors Involving Big Sean
On Wednesday (May 8), fans were buzzing about whether Jhene Aiko was dissing Big Sean in her new freestyle song ‘Triggered.' The emotional record had fans simultaneously in their feelings and ready to throw hands for Jhene. However, the R&B songstress quelled the rumors hours after the freestyle dropped.
In a series of tweets posted on Wednesday (May 8), Jhene directly addressed the speculation and clarified that she was not throwing shade at her ex.
"Triggered is NOT a diss song," the R&B songstress wrote, "it's was a moment of exaggerated expression when I was feeling lost and weak."
While Jhene didn't mention her former beau specifically, she said: "no one is to be blamed or bashed for how I was feeling in that moment."
Since their breakup, Jhene has always maintained that everything is good between her and Big Sean. Back in March, she dispelled speculation that she was working on new music about her former flame after The Shade Room shared a video of her in a studio.

The Trip singer concluded that the song was an emotional outlet for things she was going through at the time and she has since moved on. Many fans expressed that they understood her feelings all too well. Some are even hoping that more music will come from that moment in question as part of her healing process.
The LA-native has been through a lot in recent years. Last November, she posted a heart-wrenching post on Instagram recounting a time that she nearly died, which had many people worried. Before that, the "Sativa" singer crooned about her life's troubles on the melancholic neo-soul album, Trip, such as losing her brother to cancer.
