Nicki Minaj and her new boy are going strong in 2019, even among some of her fans’ discontent with the new Ken to their Barbie leader.

The Queen femcee welcomed the new year with her boyfriend, Kenneth Petty, and a steaming jacuzzi where the two got frisky under the bubbles. In a video posted to Nicki’s Instagram, Ken kisses and caresses her toes before flexing his brawn and lifting her up to float above the jacuzzi. The two appear head over heels for each other as Nicki flirts and giggles with him throughout the video in a non-disclosed conversation.

In a second post, the “Barbie Dreams” rapper sent a happy new year to everyone atop Ken’s lap too while the couple posed for a flick with all smiles. Considering that Nicki disabled the comments on both posts, it goes without saying that she’s more than aware of the controversy chatter surrounding her new boyfriend, his past, and their current relationship.

And while they’re probably excited for what the new year will hold for their bae-dom, the Barbie kingdom isn’t as thrilled.
