Ginuwine Marks Two Months of Sobriety
High praises are in order for R&B legend Ginuwine, who recently celebrated his second month of sobriety.
"And counting!!!! I am still going strong, 2 months sober," the 53-year-old shared in a heartwarming health update via Instagram on Thursday (September 5).
The "Pony" crooner explained that although two months "maybe seems like a lil time to you, but to me and most, it's a lifetime, and so I say don't be ashamed, reach out for help like I did bcz a lot of times, well, most times, you need that support!!!!"
He continued, "And I love the fact I didn’t fail!!!! I stood TEN10 toes down, IT made me know I got this!!!! I am worthy, I am strong, I am deserving of better, I know what is in store, I know the fight, I knew what was to come, and so I stood strong,!!! yep!!! we ain’t wavering..."
Speaking directly to "Anyone going through addiction, drugs, alcoholism," the singer urged them to "Please please please look within yourself and know you're better than failing!!!! you're strong!!!! you are ME!!!! super!!!! Get up, let's go!!! We got this!!!!"
Fans and industry peers flooded the comment section with supportive messages, praising the veteran for his healthier appearance. Actress Claudia Jordan wrote, "I’m SO happy you’re doing this! You got this!!" Former NFL superstar turned coach Deion Sanders added, "Proud of u my brother."
