Branden Wellington and Meagan Tandy Tie the Knot in Stunning California Wedding
Branden Wellington and Meagan Tandy officially tied the knot.
The couple married on Sunday (Sept. 1) at Hidden Acres, a picturesque 22-acre venue in the San Bernardino Mountains, Lytle Creek, California. Surrounded by 175 guests, the newlyweds celebrated their special day with a weekend full of joyous festivities, according to PEOPLE.
"We initially set out to create a small, intimate ceremony with our family and very close friends. But as we were in the planning process, it turned out to become more of a three-day celebration with the wedding as the culmination of the weekend," Tandy told the media outlet.
She also expressed her excitement about embarking on life’s journey with someone special. “I grew up in a loving family that deeply shaped who I am today,” the “Batwoman” actress said. “For me, life has always been about connection, and I never saw it as something to navigate alone.”
Wellington revealed that marriage is a significant milestone in his transition into manhood and fatherhood. “Being the sixth generation in my family to marry, this is something I’ve anticipated for a long time,” he told PEOPLE. “I’m inspired by the opportunity to continuously discover new ways to love the same person throughout our lives.”
The “Sistas” star met Tandy in 2017 while she was filming the TV show “Survivor's Remorse” in Atlanta. They went on a date, starting with a round of miniature golf and visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden before Wellington returned to New York City to film the final season of “Orange Is the New Black.” They made their relationship official in 2018, and five years later, they got engaged on Christmas Day in 2023.
