New Edition Considers Reunion Album
After a recent performance at the 2011 Essence Music Festival this past Fourth of July, the members of '80s R&B group New Edition have been throwing around the idea of making their reunion official with an album.
According to MTV News, the group is getting along despite differences that tore them apart in the late '80s and early '90s, so much so that an album is a viable possibility. NE's last album together as a sextet was 1996's Home Again. The group's last album, One Love, was released sans Bobby Brown in 2004. This go around it's Brown who seems the most excited about making a musical return with his old crew.
"We got a New Edition album in the making," said Brown. "We're thinking about it, we're talking about it and it all starts with us, just thinking about making some good music together.… I'm just glad to be a part of this and I'm proud to be a part of this."
For now, the group is focusing on just remembering their dance steps.
