Media Moments Where Folks Have Gotten Their Black Cards Snatched!
Being born with, or awarded, your Black card is one of the highest honors known to humanity, arguably up there with the Presidential Medal of Freedom or a crowd of people saying "ayyyyyy" when you hit 'dem folks. It's a shame that some people can't acknowledge the esteemed Black card in its proper proportion. Here are just a few of those tragic instances:
Raven is a 'Colorless Person'
There's nothing wrong with being proud of one's heritage, but it shouldn't be to the exclusion of your Blackness. Raven-Symoné didn't get that memo. Even Oprah had a reaction to Raven's statements about not wanting to be labeled. She missed opportunities to put on for both the Black and the LGBTQ communities. *sigh*
Arguing Semantics
There was no case to be made for CeeLo Green. Movements such as #MeToo and #TimesUp have shown us that it is never OK to minimize the severity of someone's claim. To add obstacles to the struggles many women and men face when coming forward about instances of sexual assault doesn't help. With these tweets, that's what CeeLo did. Let's hope his perspective has changed since then.

Dr. Ben Carson Has The Story Twisted
It's not entirely clear what Dr. Ben Carson was thinking when he drew a comparison between the conditions to which slaves were subjected and those of immigrants, but it communicated to most as a major failure. The clip above shows his statements in context, but there are some considerations that the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development left out. Namely, the fact that slaves who were brought to the Americas were not simply here by choice, but to work for wages.

Anything Stacey Dash. Her Black card didn't even need to be revoked. She got rid of it on her own.
