The Weeknd Has Set a Big Billboard Chart Record

And he's the first artist to ever do it.

You can’t turn on the radio without hearing at least one song by The Weeknd. The dominance on the airwaves has allowed him to break a Billboard record and make history.

The Toronto crooner is the first artist to have all three of his songs “Earned It” (3), “The Hills (2) and “Can’t Feel My Face” (1) on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart. By comparison, Robin Thicke is the only other artist to have two out of three spots with “Blurred Lines,” featuring T.I. and Pharrell, and “Give It 2 You,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, in 2013.

Although the Hot R&B Songs chart is three years old, it’s an impressive feat. His forthcoming album, Beauty Behind the Madness, is scheduled for Aug. 28.
