White Teachers Dressed Up As Trump's Boarder Wall And Mexicans For Halloween

They donned sombreros, ponchos and fake mustaches.

White teaches at an elementary school in Idaho are being criticized for very offensive Halloween costumes they wore as groups.

  • Pictures of white teachers and staff at a Middleton School District school surfaced on the Internet, one of which shows them as a group standing side-by-side as Donald Trump’s figurative border wall and the words “Make America Great Again” across the front.

If that wasn’t bad enough, another picture shows other staff in sombreros, fake mustaches and ponchos as if they were the, uh, Mexicans they wanted to keep out?

Officials from the district have issued an apology on behalf of the teaches after the photos were posted to the district’s Facebook page on Thursday (November 1).

“Last night, a parent contacted me expressing concern of staff costumes worn here on Halloween,” Josh Middleton, the district’s superintendent said in a Facebook Live video on Friday morning. “I am deeply troubled by the decision by our staff members to wear those costumes that are clearly insensitive and inappropriate. We are better than this.

“Do I think there was a malicious intent in these poor decisions? No, I don't. Was there a poor judgement involved? Absolutely,” he continued. “We already have district administration looking into the matter first thing this morning.”

SMH. What makes it even more sad is that, according to census data, around 10 percent of Middleton’s population is Hispanic, so you know at least some of the kids attending that school of the targeted race.

    Do better, Middleton.
