Online dating can be a very scary thing, and we're not just talking about finding out your match looks nothing in person like he does in his picture.
A Kansas man named Shane Steven Allen is facing felony charges after meeting a woman for a Tinder date, and then holding her against her will for six days after accusing her of flirting with his friend. 

Allen lured the 20-year-old college student to his trailer after the two met on the popular dating app. The Lawrence Journal World reported that the young victim and Allen then smoked marijuana at his home with two of Allen's friends.

Later that night, after the young woman got out of bed to get some water, Allen accused her of flirting with his two friends who had left hours before. Court documents allege that Allen then punched her in the face and refused to let her leave the house. 

He is also accused of choking the victim until she passed out, and then told her she could not leave his house until her face healed. He is accused of additional abuse, like pressing his knee against her throat, which caused bruising up to her jawline and ears.

The affidavit states that Allen agreed to take the victim back to her sorority house if she promised not to go to police. However, when she was returned home she immediately went to a nearby hospital to get her injuries treated, which included two black eyes, bruising, swelling, and broken blood vessels in her eyes. 

Shortly after, police apprehended Allen, who is now being held in Douglas County Jail on $100,000 bond. 

He is facing five felony charges, and if he is convicted to the highest extent of the law he could face a 32-year sentence.
