Kendrick Lamar Screaming 'Mustard' On 'TV Off' Has Swept Social Media
Fans of Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album GNX are having fun with his “Mustard!” soundbite from the album track “tv off.”
Since the LP dropped on Friday, November 22, listeners have zeroed in on the Mustard-produced track, his third collaboration with Kendrick along with “Not Like Us” and “Hey Now.”
The “TV off” snippet made its rounds on social media over the weekend, and Mustard even responded to some of the memes.
One pastor got into the “Mustard!” antics, delivering a sermon where he preached about burger competition between fast food companies McDonalds and Burger King.
“If you wanted a burger that only had ketchup, you should get a burger that only had ketchup,” he said in the video below. “Mustard!”
“Amen,” said in a repost of the video on X.
Lizzo also shouted the adlib when she joined SZA during her guest appearance on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 substation on Saturday, November 23.
RDC World content creators Mark Phillips and Leland Manigo also hilariously reenacted the " TV off” recording session.
After the release of GNX, Mustard spoke to Billboard about his reaction to the album and “tv off.”
“That s*** was elite. So fire. Like, is that a new tag?” he said about the track. “I can’t wait to perform that song and just hear people just saying that, ‘cause everybody’s going to say that like crazy.”
Mustard could now have a reason to change his producer tag from “Mustard on the beat, h**.”
