Bronx Woman Creates Fake Charity to Benefit from Sandy Hook Tragedy

Noel Alba claimed to be one of the fallen children's aunt and asked for funeral donations.

During a time when the country has been mourning the loss of those who died in the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a 37-year-old woman created a fake charity to take advantage of people's kindness.
CBS News reports that Noel Alba of Bronx, New York, used her Facebook page under the name "Victorian Glam Fairies" to ask for funeral donations for her brother's child and other families. As if that weren't sick enough, Alba also said she visited the school right after the shootings to identify her nephew's body.
The FBI investigated her story after an interested donor asked for more information, but didn't receive it. Alba has appeared before a federal judge for the charges, but she claims her account was hacked.
