Lady Gaga Wins Lawsuit Against Lady Goo Goo

The artist puts legal restrictions on the parody character.

Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but you don't cross the line with Lady Gaga. The iconic pop star has been granted an injunction against Mind Candy, the company behind the viral sensation character, Lady Goo Goo, E! Online reports.

The company launched the cartoon, which dresses and acts like a baby version of the singer, on its Moshi Monsters website and has been releasing kid-friendly versions of Gaga's greatest hits — including the catchy tracks, "Peppy-razzi" and "The Moshi Dance."

The songs have gotten so popular that Mind Candy initiated plans to sell them on iTunes — a move that put Gaga's legal team into action.

London's High Court this week sided with Gaga that the cartoon and its songs might cause "consumer confusion" and ordered that Moshi could not to release the tune in any form.

Gaga's not spoiling all the fun, though. Lady Goo Goo can still appear in Moshi Monsters games, just without the songs.
