‘Tyler Perry’s The Oval’: 10 Intense Moments From The White House Drama’s History

The series has a long history of some of the wildest moments we’ve seen on television.

Tyler Perry’s ‘The Oval’ has been a wild ride through the years. We’ve seen murder, betrayal, sex scandals, and an almost successful plot to assassinate the president last season. This season, we’re watching as Hunter slowly regains his strength and goes on the warpath against anyone he thinks is getting in his way. There are also other subplots going on and ruthless people who refuse to go down without a fight. That has been the gist of the show for the past few seasons. Let’s look at some of the most intense moments on Tyler Perry’s The Oval throughout the years.

'Tyler Perry’s The Oval’ Recap: Dale is in a Dangerous Situation With Kyle

Hunter Overdoses

We almost lost Hunter after he partook in some fentanyl-laced drugs orchestrated by Victoria. However, he’s on the mend, on the warpath, and ready to turn up the revenge tour we’re watching.

Callie Gets Kidnapped

Remember Callie? She is Barry’s daughter, who was kidnapped by her mother, Ruth. Ruth was doing the bidding of the Rakadushis by taking her daughter from Barry. This kidnapping is one of the first intense events that introduced us to the wild ride that The Oval became.

Nancy Tries to Delete Herself

Speaking of the Rakadushis, they’re known for drugging people, and that’s exactly what happened to Nancy. She felt froggy one day and thought she’d go over there to see if she could find Barry, but got caught up. After being drugged, Nancy ended up back at home, where she tried to hang herself amid a drug-induced haze. Thankfully, Richard cut her down in time.

Richard Confronts His Dad and Nancy

When Nancy was in her haze, she revealed some things to Richard about her affair with his father that he hadn’t previously known. That pissed Richard off so much that he called a meeting between all parties involved once Nancy got better and went off on Nancy and his father. We haven’t ever seen the usually calm and collected Richard like this…until now.

Dale Gets Shot

We knew Donald was petty, but having Dale shot because he was messing with Kyle was wildly unexpected.

Jason Kills Jean

It was established early on that Jason had some serious issues, but watching him kill Jean was shocking. Jean never bothered anybody.

Sharon Knocks Out Kareem

When Sharon discovered what she thought was Barry’s dead body in Kareem’s apartment, she rightfully freaked out. Things got wilder when Kareem walked in on her after she made the discovery and tried to trap her in his apartment until he could figure out what to do with her, but she made a move first. She beat him almost to death out of fear. Sharon was spicy, but no one knew she had this much fight.

The First and Second Lady Fight

We knew Victoria was scrappy, but it was surprising to watch Simone buck up at the first lady because up until that point, Simone kept it classy, even when she knew that Victoria and her husband were having an affair. The first and second lady of the nation got into an all-out brawl that led to them both flying over a banister, and the shock of the impending fall is what broke their fight up.

Sam Cheats With Victoria

Victoria had been pushing up on Sam for a while before he finally gave in, and when it did, he let go of all the pinned-up sexual repression he had been experiencing in his marriage.

Eli and Victoria Get

Everything about Hunter catching Victoria and Eli in the act was intense. Eli and Victoria were going at it like it was the last time they ever would, and Hunter’s rage was palpable.
