'Tyler Perry’s The Oval’ Recap: Dale is in a Dangerous Situation With Kyle

Dale is the subject of unwanted affection from Kyle, and not playing his cards right means life or death.

Last week’s episode of "Tyler Perry’s The Oval" ended with Jason running up on Nancy, who stayed at Priscilla’s house. He put a knife to her throat and did the whole “don’t move, or else” song and dance. He scared poor Nancy into an asthma attack, but the gist of why he’s there is that he forces Nancy to call Sam and have him come over alone as if that doesn’t sound suspect.

Anyway, Sam has been staying at Richard’s place and the latter oddly gets a call from Barry, but no one speaks when Richard picks up. Sam offers to get the number traced and present the results later then after Richard leaves for work, Sam gets a call from Nancy asking him to head over to Priscilla’s place.

Meanwhile, Dale is in bed with Kyle in post-coital hell. Remember, while Jason was there, Dale was the distraction to get Kyle out of Allen’s house. So, he’s trapped with a psycho.

You already know that Dale is playing a dangerous game, given that Donald doesn’t play about Kyle. Remember, Donald already had Dale shot for messing with Kyle in the first place. Dale tries to return to Allen’s, but Kyle is lowkey in love and wants him to stay at his place.

Kyle swears up and down that Donald won’t find out about them again, and when that doesn’t work, he tries to leverage Sharon’s freedom. He says that if Dale keeps playing with him, he’ll get her out of jail. It’s unclear whether he has that level of power, so Dale is rightfully skeptical, but at the moment, he just wants to get away from Kyle.

The first lady is locked up in a bunker beside Kareem and Antonio. They get acquainted, and she goes off on Antonio for talking too much once she figures out who he is. On the flipside, Hunter is still weak but on the mend and makes plans with his specially hired set of agents for what he refers to as his takeover. His first order of business is firing Donald.

Let’s fast forward. The episode winds down back at Priscilla’s house. Nancy talked Jason into allowing her to make him some food. As he eats, Jason wonders why Sam hasn’t arrived yet, and then some masked men in Black come rushing in to snatch them up and hustle them out. But we’ll have to wait until next week to see what’s up with that.
