The Internet Is Dragging This Kylie Jenner Fan After She Claimed Kerry Washington's Cornrows Were 'Invented By Kylie'

First of all, WE'RE innovators and trendsetters.

Oh, the joys of misinformed internet trolls.

Yesterday, actress Kerry Washington revealed her November Allure cover showing off a natural, undone look. See for yourself below:

While the rest of us were enjoying the stunning images of Kerry, some poor soul decided that they should share their unwarranted opinion on the star’s braided hairstyle.

According to the unnamed commenter, Kylie Jenner pretty much “invented this braided hairstyle” yet, we all “talk sh*t about her then copy her.”

Where do we even start.… First of all, Kylie, in fact, did not invent braids and lip gloss, just like her sister, Kim Kardashian, did not invent big butts. We've been had those!

Second, what in the world of cultural appropriation are you talking about? We’re also pretty sure hair braiding can be traced back to the continent (not country) of Africa about 5,000 years ago.

Kylie’s only 20 years old, for the record. So, what was your point again?

Unbothered by the hate, Kerry's stylist, Takisha Wright, shared the below via Instagram:

“I parted her #natural blown out #hair in four sections. Then braided it from the front to the undone ends. I left the fly aways on purpose to show the imperfections with the hair. Then finished off the #hairstyle with some gold hair jewelry.”

At least those who were previously unaware about how to achieve the style can now rock it — or steal it — depending on who you ask. #JustSaying
