Fox News Announces Bill O'Reilly Will Not Be Returning to the Network Amidst New Claim He Called a Woman 'Hot Chocolate'

Anchor Deneen Borelli defended the host by calling the allegations a "dog pile."

After spending 21 years at Fox News, Bill O'Reilly has been fired from Fox News after several women made sexual harassment allegations against him. On Wednesday, 21st Century Fox announced The O'Reilly Factor host will not be resuming his position on-air after his vacation.

“After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel,” the statement from 21st Century Fox said.

On Wednesday morning, Fox executives held emergency meetings to plan an efficient plan of action for cutting their ties with one of their highest-rated hosts.

According to Buzzfeed, Tucker Carlson will take over The O'Reilly Factor's 8 p.m. time slot. The Five will replace Carlson's 9 p.m. slot.

O’Reilly’s removal from the company comes after it was revealed he and the network paid five different women a total of $13 million in settlements during sexual harassment allegations.

Most recently, an unidentified Black clerical worker — who did not work for Fox but had a desk close to O’Reilly’s station — complained about lewd comments from Mr. O’Reilly. The woman claimed that in 2008, O’Reilly called her “hot chocolate” and would stare at her legs.

  • O'Reilly's removal comes as good news for many who insisted the network fire him

  • Before news of his probable firing, Fox Anchor Deneen Borelli came to O'Reilly's defense

Borelli spoke out against the 2008 claim the woman made about O'Reilly calling her "hot chocolate."

"That's not the Bill O'Reilly I know," Borelli told the Hollywood Reporter. Borelli has been on The O'Reilly Factor dozens of times.

"This happened in 2008. I question the timing, and I don't know why she isn't revealing her name. It's like a dog pile here. What does she have to gain? That's my question," she added.

  • O'Reilly's sexual assault allegations and racist and bigoted comments made many feel his firing was long overdue
