Trinity Rodman Calls Father Dennis Rodman’s Apology 'A Joke'
Trinity Rodman appears to want nothing to do with her father, former NBA player Dennis Rodman.
Last week, Trinity was a guest on the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” where she spoke to host Alex Cooper about her estranged relationship with Rodman, even alleging that her father is an “alcoholic.” At one point of the interview, Trinity insisted that although the two are related by blood, her father is “not a dad.” Rodman shares Trinity, 22, and her older brother, Dennis “DJ” Rodman, 23, with his ex-wife, Michelle Moyer, who he was married to from 2003 to 2012. Rodman also shares a 36-year-old daughter, Alexis, with his ex-wife, Annie Bakes.
In a since-deleted Instagram reel, showing a collage filled with pictures of his children, Rodman seemingly apologized to his youngest child. “Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop,” Rodman captioned the post. “I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.”
But Trinity doesn’t seem to be interested in a reconciliation anytime soon. In an Instagram Story from Friday, December 20, the Washington Spirit player appeared to call Rodman “a joke.” “The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it and I'm done. Thank you,” she continued.
In other parts of the “CHD” interview, Trinity explained that after Rodman's divorce from Moyer was finalized and he stopped supporting the family, their relationship worsened. The family experienced homelessness at one point and briefly resided in an SUV, and Trinity recalled that Rodman didn't spend much time with his children.
