Imani Hakim of ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ Announces Pregnancy Following Engagement Reveal
Imani Hakim, formerly of the hit sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris,” will soon be a wife and first-time mother.
Just weeks after the 31-year-old actress got engaged to her now-fiancé, Chris Naoki Lee, in an Instagram reel posted on Friday, December 20, the couple shared a slo-mo video of themselves, with Hakim baring a growing baby bump. “🖤 world premiere 2025 💛,” the caption reads. Among those who congratulated Hakim in the comments section was Terry Crews, who played Julian Rock, the father to Hakim’s character of Tonya on “Everybody Hates Chris,” and Tyler James Williams, who played the show’s titular character.
“WHA…!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!” Crews wrote, while Williams also commented, “Ahhhh! Congrats yall!! ❤️.”
The baby follows Lee proposing to Hakim in their new home earlier this season, which he pulled off with the help of the couple’s friends, recapping the special occasion in an Instagram reel. “Greatest thing is to love and be loved in return. So here’s to a lifetime of loving cause we ENGAGED! 💍” Lee captioned the post. “Months of planning and secret phone calls led to one magical afternoon, and fortunately, she had no idea 😮💨”
After thanking their friends, he concluded, “We’re grateful for the love. We know the journey ahead will be filled with unknowns. And we’re lucky asf to do it together. Lock in girly bean.”
