T.I. Doesn’t Want Money If It's Coming From a Trump Supporter
T.I. has taken to Instagram this week to share his disgust with the campaign -- and mere existence -- of presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“Some things are more important than money to me,” T.I. told TMZ, continuing the conversation outside of his Instagram.
T.I. expressed earlier this week that anyone who supports him will not support Trump, calling for his fans to take a stand against the campaign. While talking to TMZ at LAX, T.I. went on to say that Trump’s campaign is essentially identical to organized crime.
“He misuses and abuses his power to the point where he uses his money and his influence to tell people to do things that are harmful to my people,” T.I. said. “Well, I just want him to know how frowned upon that is in my community. Starting with me.
“If I stand on a certain platform and I use my money and my influence to tell all the people that follow me, ‘Hey, guess what, if you go and hurt those people, I will pay your legal fees. I will take care of you. If you do this for me, I will make sure that you’re straightened out,’ ” he continued, talking about Trump’s actions. “If I do that, that's no different than how they view the leaders of some of the organized crime syndicates.”
In a nutshell, T.I. has consistently made it extremely clear he can get on just fine without supporters of Trump supporting him and his music. Repeat: T.I. is not here for Trump. Anyone have any questions?
