Are You Ready for a Whitney Houston Hologram?
A couple of the late greats are being "resurrected" in hologram form, and it looks like Whitney Houston is next in line.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hologram USA and Houston's estate both announced on Friday (Sept. 11) that the hologram will stream live on FilmOn.com, a free online and live TV app (after which Chief Keef allegedly named his baby).
The "I Look to You" crooner's sister-in-law and president of her estate, Pat Houston, is all for the idea. She said in a statement that the hologram is "a great opportuniy for her fans to see a reinvention of one of the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come."
Houston's hologram would join the likes of Tupac's and Michael Jackson's which were unveiled at Coachella and the Billboard Music Awards, respectively. Hologram USA also announced earlier this week that, before the unveiling on Houston's, a Billie Holiday hologram will debut later this year at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York.
