Denzel Washington Talks About Going ‘Full on the Lips’ with Male Co-Star in ‘Gladiator II’
Legendary actor Denzel Washington recently shared that he shared a kiss with a man in a scene for his upcoming “Gladiator II” film, though the moment was ultimately cut from the final version of the movie.
In a new interview with Gayety, the Academy Award winner who stars as Macrinus in the epic action film sequel shared that he kissed a male co-star.
“I actually kissed a man in the film but they took it out, they cut it, I think they got chicken,” Washington shared.
He added: “I kissed a guy full on the lips, and I guess they weren’t ready for that yet. I killed him about five minutes later. It’s Gladiator. It’s the kiss of death.”
Washington also recently revealed that “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler is writing a role specifically for him in the next installment.
“For me, it’s about the filmmakers. Especially at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best,” he said. “I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. It’s probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done.”
The acting road is nearing an end for Washington, who says the Marvel film will be one of his final projects.
Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II” hits theaters on November 22.
