Ms. Pat Tells Heartwarming Story of Katt Williams Paying for Her Father’s Funeral
Katt Williams might be known for his sharp wit and comedy, but beneath the laughter, he's got a heart of gold.
In a recent conversation with Shannon Sharpe, comedian Ms. Pat spoke about an unforgettable act of kindness she received from the veteran comic.
According to the star of BET’s “The Ms. Pat Show,” while on tour with Williams, she received news of her father's passing. Struggling to manage the funeral expenses, the actress says she was taken aback when Williams, who had overheard her conversation, stepped in with the generous gesture.
“He said go bury your daddy and come back. I was blown away! It was a couple [thousand] dollars,” Ms. Pat explained.
Ms. Pat revealed she didn’t know Williams personally before joining his tour. She also mentioned that she even attempted to repay him, but he declined.
“And I tried to pay it back, and he said, ‘you don’t owe me nothing.’ I always tell him thank you, because he didn’t have to do that. In this world, in this game, there ain’t a lot of people that will do that,” she continued.
Ms. Pat emphasized that Katt's support extended beyond just covering her father’s funeral costs. Williams didn’t even take the money out of her tour pay, confirming, “He still [paid] me.”
