Terrell Owens Faces His Baby Mamas on Dr. Phil
Terrell Owens was in the hot seat in more ways than one during a recent appearance on Dr. Phil. The NFL player came face to face with three of the four women he has children with on the popular talk show.
McGraw took it easy on Owens at first, praising his football career and telling him he thinks Owens has been misjudged by the media. Then he brought out T.O.'s exes.
Turns out, they don't have such nice things to say about him. One called him "evil," another claims he does not keep up with child support payments (they add up to $50,000 a month, a figure Owens has tried to get reduced in court) and one mother even accused Owens of trying to "exploit" their son by making public appearances with him.
The mother of Owens' 7-year-old daughter says the football player has only seen her 12 times in her life and that "he doesn't call, he doesn't send Christmas gifts." The third woman said he hasn't seen his daughter in more than a year.
"The thing is, with me traveling back and forth, I don't have a set schedule," Owens said, adding that when he had reached out that, "Pretty much 90% of the time every time I've reached out it's been a bad time."
Dr. Phil took it upon himself to not only lecture Owens, but the baby mamas as well. "You guys need to stop these hostilities, because it's your child who's picking up the tab for that," he said.
Owens, who has had a rough ride these past few years, kept silent for most of the interview, speaking up only to reveal that he didn't know his own father "until I was 10 or 12."
At the end of the show, he had an emotional reunion with two of his children backstage, and promised to take them to a theme park. Hopefully he sticks to his word, and both he and his exes move forward in peace.
