Does Frank Ocean's New Album Finally Have a Release Date?
It appears as though Frank Ocean season is finally now upon us. Couple of questions, though. Are we ready? And is a Friday (August 5) release date actually going to happen?
According to The New York Times, this Friday fans will finally be rewarded for their patience with the release of Ocean’s highly anticipated album, Boys Don’t Cry.
After fans were disappointed July came and went without the album appearing on Apple Music, earlier today (August 1) a mysterious looped video popped up on Ocean’s channel hinting his new music is soon on its way. Boys Don't Cry is his follow-up to 2012’s widely successful Channel Orange, which won one Grammy and was nominated for six.
The New York Times reports a release date of this Friday, stating that their source is a person with “knowledge of the release plans,” who, of course, remains anonymous.
