Here’s How Steve Harvey Thinks Trump Is Doing With the Black Community
Steve Harvey’s been a marked man ever since he met with Donald Trump shortly after his inauguration.
Knowing this, the TV host and comedian’s been careful about what he says regarding The Donald. Harvey was put to the test recently when TMZ’s camera approached him and asked about Trump’s effectiveness so far as president.
“Well, I mean as far as doing what he promised me to do, he’s doing it,” Harvey said while walking to his vehicle. “I’m working with HUD. I’m going to get some housing for underprivileged people. We going to set up some centers around the country, I’ve met with HUD. It’s going really well. God willing, it’ll work out.”
Following up, the TMZ reporter tried to confirm that Harvey said that Trump was doing a good job in office. He was quickly cut off.
“I didn’t say that,” Harvey said. “All I said was he’s keeping his word to what he said he would do.”
Steve Harvey was also asked whether he’s talked to Ben Carson, which he revealed that he has and could only smile when prompted about Carson’s strange elevator mishaps.
