    From making a statement at the 2024 Met Gala to turning heads at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Reese's style evolution is undeniable. And according to Vogue, this is just the beginning — with major fashion goals like walking a Paris Fashion Week runway still on her list.

    Kirk Franklin is set to be honored as the 2025 recipient of the Black Music Icon Award by the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective.

    According to Billboard, he’s being recognized for his profound influence on the music industry and his legacy of service that continues to inspire people globally. 

    The prestigious ceremony will take place on January 30 at Los Angeles’ Fairmont Century Plaza.

    Sharing her excitement on X, the “Abbott Elementary” star expressed gratitude for the recognition, writing, “What a celebration of love, perseverance, and the unwavering support of family, friends, and fans. Thank you! This star shines for us all.

    President Joe Biden honored a dynamic group of individuals with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Saturday (Jan. 4), with Black trailblazers shining brightly. Hollywood icon Denzel Washington, basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and civil rights hero Fannie Lou Hamer, recognized posthumously, were among the celebrated.

    Biden’s final ceremony as president also honored luminaries like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, philanthropist George Soros, and the late Robert F. Kennedy.
