Karen Huger Misses ‘RHOP’ Reunion, Enters ‘Private Recovery Program’

In a statement, it was shared that the reality television star is on a “meaningful journey” towards “personal growth.”

Among the “Real Housewives of Potomac” cast that were involved in the show’s reunion, which was taped on January 9, via Bravo, Karen Huger was missing from the lineup. In March, the reality television star was arrested for driving under the influence and several additional negligent driving charges after she was involved in a car accident in Potomac, Maryland. In December, Huger, 61, was found guilty on five of the six charges, including driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated, although she was acquitted on charges of reckless driving.

In a statement shared to Bravo’s “Daily Dish,” Huger’s manager, Ryan Tresdale, shared that his client’s absence from the reunion was due to her entering rehab.

“Karen made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so was unable to attend the reunion taping today,” the statement read. “She was fully supported in this choice. We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey and are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth.”

Raymond Huger, Huger's husband, reportedly arrived at the scene of the accident after the "RHOP" star alleged that a cop had grabbed her arm. She also said she was refused the opportunity to leave while being questioned and that she was not informed of her Miranda rights.

After the jury reached their verdict on December 18, Huger’s lawyer, A. Scott Bolden, announced a potential appeal to “fully pursue justice on her behalf.”
