[Breaking News] UCLA Campus Shooter Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide

The unidentified gunman killed one person before turning the trigger on himself.

Two men are dead after a shooting took place this morning at the UCLA campus in Los Angeles. Armed police and SWAT teams were called to the campus at around 10am after multiple reports of gunshots.

The two bodies were found inside the Mathematical Sciences building and hundreds of officers swept the campus looking for the shooter. They were looking for a white man, 6ft tall, who was seen wearing all black. Shortly after, the LAPD Chief announced that the two men had died in an apparent murder-suicide and that no suspects were on the loose.

Freshman Teddi Mattox said students were getting breakfast in the dorms when the shooting occurred. "We got the alert and a woman said, 'This is not a joke, everyone get to the back of the dining hall because we have to stay away from the windows,'" she told CNN. "We're crowded back here, we've been here for at least an hour and a half."

This was until UCLA Police Chief Jim Herren told CNN that the shooting was been a murder-suicide, that the situation was contained and a murder weapon had been found. He added that they did not yet know if the men were students, or staff.

So far police know very little of the nature of the shooting as law enforcement continue to sweep the campus, but it seems that the horror ended as quickly as it began, as students and faculty prepare to deal with the aftermath of another school shooting.
