Rich Amiri - ‘War Ready’
Boston rapper Rich Amiri heads for battle on his fourth album, ‘War Ready.’ The 20-year-old rhymer follows his 2023 LP ‘Ghetto Fabulous’ with the futuristic 18-track ‘War Ready,’ where he’s joined by collaborators Internet Money (“Keep It Cool”) and OsamaSon (“Amiri Trendsetter,” “I’m Wit It.” Accompanying the album is new single, “I’m Gone,” making 2024 a massive year for the XXL Freshman alum.
The War and Treaty - “Carried Away”
Powerhouse country music duo The War and Treaty inspire listeners to be a better version of themselves on “Carried Away,” the lead single from their upcoming album, ‘Plus One.’ Composed of Michael and Tanya Trotter, the duo takes the spirit of the song to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where they recorded ‘Plus One’ at the iconic FAME Studios. Fans are sure to hear “Carried Away” IRL when The War and Treaty embark on The Plus One Tour beginning in March 2025.
Apollo Brown - ‘This, Not That’
Detroit hip-hop producer Apollo Brown connects with bilingual New Jersey emcee CrimeApple for a fresh new collaborative album, ‘This, Is Not That.’ While Brown’s production is crisper than before, CrimeApple holds his own on the beats, and invites features from Willie Da Kid (“Wonderful Feelin”) and Sonnyjim (“Almanacs”).
Quavo, Teddy Swims and Luke Bryan - “Georgia Ways”
Quavo goes back to the south on “Georgia Ways,” with assistance from alternative and soul crooner Teddy Swims and country star Luke Bryan. The Georgia natives reflect on their Southern roots on the genre-bending hometown anthem, which exhibits Quavo, Swims and Bryan's charm and confidence. The song also makes the former Migos member’s latest song since “Slow It Down” with The Kid Laroi last month.
Lil Baby - “Touchdown”
Ahead of his sold-out homecoming Lil Baby & Friends concert in Atlanta this weekend, the Grammy-award winning rapper flexes his playmaker status on the Wheezy-produced “Touchdown.” The song demonstrates Lil Baby’s dominating status in rap as he prepares for his next album ‘WHAM,’ a follow-up to his 2022 LP ‘It’s Only Me.’
Smino - ‘Maybe in Nirvana’
Independent rapper-singer Smino maintains his authenticity on ‘Maybe in Nirvana,’ his follow-up to his 2022 album ‘Luv 4 Rent.’ While enhancing his soulful sound, Smino reconnects with past collaborators Ravyn Lenae and Thundercat, while also having perfect pairing link-ups with Bun B and Aminé, making ‘Maybe in Nirvana’ the artist’s most well-rounded release yet.
Nettspend - ‘BAD ASS F*CKING KID’
Virginia rapper Nettspend goes full throttle on his debut mixtape, ‘Bad Ass F*cking Kid.’ Showcasing his distinctive blend of hazy raps over distorted, frenzied beats, the artist reintroduces himself to a new era of SoundCloud rap heads as a leader among the new class of autotune-utilizing music acts.
J.P. - ‘The Groove’
Milwaukee rap and R&B artist J.P. surprises fans with new live EP, The Groove, which includes live performances of 7 songs from his album, Coming Out Party, which was released this summer. After putting his hometown on the forefront of music with “Bad Bitty” earlier this year, the 20-year-old captivates with rich and playful renditions of “Oh Yeahhh,” “Bring ‘Em Here” and the aforementioned viral hit.
IDRIS - “No Long Talk”
You may know him as acting veteran Idris Elba, but across the pond, he’s also known as a rapper, producer and world-class DJ, which he presents on his new single, “No Long Talk.” The song, which also has an official GAWP remix, makes IDRIS’ first on his new record label home, Dirtybird Records, and latest effort across African music, reggae, house and hip-hop.
Ashwin Gane - ‘Got It’
With the release of his most recent EP, ‘Got It,’ rising rapper, producer, and Detroit native Ashwin Gane has continued to put the Midwest on the map. On the 5-track EP, Ashwin balances grit and relaxed R&B sounds, putting on for the Motor City and his Indian-American community.
