Celebrity admirers of Aaliyah such as Keyshia Cole, DJ Khaled, Kelly Rowland, and Jill Scott shared the impact Aaliyah had on them and music, in general. Journalist Datwon Thomas (VIBE), Paula T. Renfroe (Juicy), and Hyun Kim (VIBE, Source, XXL) offered their insights about "Baby Girl."
Jill Scott told BET.com, "Her subject matter was very sweet and strong and sassy. Her legacy definitely continues. You see it on almost every video."
"She was so real," Kelly Rowland added. "She was in a category all her own."
