Here's How Drake Stood Up To 'Creepy' Harvey Weinstein — Years Ago

Plus, Twitter reacts to Drizzy's plans to return to acting.

Harvey Weinstein has been the recurring topic of Hollywood headlines lately as several women have come forward claiming the high-powered industry executive sexually assaulted them.

The latest to weigh in on the allegations are unlikely mentions: Drake and his manager Future The Prince. Even more interesting, though, is how their genius judgment took precedent with Weinstein long before the world knew of his heinous deeds.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Drake was on Weinstein's radar to star in and produce a film called The Heist. However, the Canadian MC reportedly rejected his offer long before the news hit the masses that he was an alleged sexual predator.

Future chimed in on behalf of the rapper, saying, "I vetted him with five people and got bad feedback about working with him."

Though Drizzy turned down the prospect of returning to the world of film alongside the fallen Weinstein, he still maintains the focus to make his acting career a priority. In fact, it's No. 1 on his list of things to do at the moment — even above music — as he explained that he plans to take six months to a year to work on acting in "great films."

"My taste in television or movies is always kind of similar to my approach to music, which is, I like when people really hit the nail on the head with real human emotions," he told the publication. "So with [Netflix's] Ozark, it's just the family dynamic. The arguments. The love. The struggles. I really relate to how accurate it is."

Excited to return to his acting roots, the rapper added, "When I get back into acting, I want to do things that make people go, 'Wow, I didn't expect that.'"

Well, it looks like he may get that very reaction as the Twitter community is definitely here for his decision. Take a look, below:
