Joe Budden To Offset: 'We Certainly Don't Want To Beef Over Your Wife'

"I thought Cardi was our common ground..."

Infamous culture commentator Joe Budden recently got exposed by Southern trap star Offset over his "volatile" statements about his wife, Cardi B, on Revolt's State of the Culture. Mr. Cephus called out Joey as a “h*e n***a speaking on women,” who “ran ‘in Barnes’ like I was gon do sum to you lol.” Offset also insinuated that the Rage & the Machine emcee is a snitch.

  • Initially, co-hosts of his eponymous podcast assumed that Offset meant the alleged interaction occurred while in Barnes & Noble

Tossing jokes back and forth about how a host of people were confused as to why the New Jersey native would be shopping in the bookstore. Co-host, Mal asked the obvious question: why would Offset be at Barnes & Noble? Joe denounced the rumors and admitted that the alleged ordeal could've taken place at luxury department store, Barneys, which to him is much funnier.

The former Slaughterhouse signee woke up to the news about the questionable altercation, thanks to his girl, Cyn Santana. Upon reading the news, Joe hilariously came to a realization.

  • “Sh*t he might’ve seen me in Barney’s running. The bathroom is in the cut and I can’t hold my pee..."

Continuing, "just my luck, Offset would be blouse-shopping on the side, lookin’ at me running around,” he comically stated.

Due to the miscommunication, Rory and Mal asked Joe to reconcile. Though saying that he "never thought about doing something that could make the situation better," Joe understands why Offset would be upset. "N****s should speak with a certain respect and sense when it comes to women,” he replied, but he thought he did. “I’m not about to beef with a nigga over his wife that I love. I thought that was our common ground.” In the clip, Joe mentions Cardi’s arrest and her notorious brawl with Nicki Minaj.

  • IN TERMS OF BARBIE VS. BARDI, JOE HAD THIS TO SAY: "I’M APPRECIATING THEM BOTH IN DIFFERENT REALMS, IN DIFFERENT SPECTRUMS. I’M NO LONGER GROUPING THEM TOGETHER"

His intention was to reiterate that he feels the Bronx phenom is “too big of a superstar to behave that way ‘cause people have it out for her— period.” He isn’t necessarily saying she shouldn’t do it, but she has to be cautious about her approach. He alluded that it’s smarter to resort to those actions without cameras, and witnesses because “the block is hot.” “I don't want to lose Cardi to nothing," he continued.

Ultimately, Joe wants to do the right thing, but they aren't gonna fight due to their mutual love of Cardi.
