Gucci has taken to its official Instagram account to begin promoting what appears to be a first for the powerhouse brand.

Judging from its social media pages, through a series of nine different video clips posted in succession yesterday (Jan. 27), Gucci is auditioning for what very well may become the first all-Black campaign in the company's 96-year history.

The Italian luxury label recently posted nine different clips of models auditioning for its pre-fall 2017 ad campaign, and as exemplified in the videos below, each model at the casting call was of color, hinting that the company will be launching its first official lookbook comprised solely of Black models.

During the auditions, which took place in London, each hopeful model was asked what their spirit animal is, and as accompanied by Duke Browner's single "Crying Over You," broke out into a variety of dance moves.

While the creative direction is long overdue, it is still exciting to see how the brand will execute the campaign it currently is teasing.
