Monroe High is the first public high school to make it from the Bronx, New York.
A cheerleading team in the Bronx has made history by becoming the first public high school from the area to qualify for Nationals. There's only one problem: they need some help coming up with the money to get them there.
The James Monroe cheerleaders are hoping to attend the national competition next month in Florida. In order to go, they will need $30,000 for travel and lodging for the team of 25.
And they are calling on you to help
Once people were made aware of their story, they celebrated the team for the wonderful accomplishment
The team has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help raise the money for nationals
