You've Made a Huge Mistake: Watch These Tourists Take a Swim in the Baltimore Harbor
Going for a nice, cool, dip is definitely one of the best ways to beat the summertime heat. But, if cooling off means swimming in a body of water with raw sewage, then maybe it’s better to just deal with the heatwave.
Unfortunately, several tourists from Chicago would happily disagree. Several visitors were caught on camera frolicking in the famous Baltimore Harbor. Now for those of you that don’t know, the Baltimore Harbor looks beautiful and houses many classic and modern ships; however, the water in the harbor is not, and we repeat, not suitable for swimming.
You see, the Baltimore Harbor is kind of like Mary Poppins’s magical bag, but instead of finding cool toys and trinkets, you’ll find trash, waste and maybe even a dead body (no, seriously).
So what made these out-of-towners go diving head first into the mysterious depths of the Harbor? Well, that isn’t really clear. Maybe they really just wanted to go for a swim. Maybe they wanted to live on the edge. Or maybe they heard people warn them about water and they thought, Nah, how bad could it be? Perhaps the should be reminded of the dead bodies.
Either way, they came, they swam and they are probably leaving with some type of disease. After all, Baltimore is the city that reads, not the city that swims in polluted waters.
