G-Unit's frontman, 50 Cent, has never been shy about offering his opinion. When asked about the controversy sorrounding DJ Mister Cee by fellow Hot 97 radio personality Miss Info at a recent screening of his latest film, Things Fall Apart, 50 surprisingly took the high road and instead spoke about Mister Cee's legacy in hip hop.
"It's only entertaining because he means that much to hip hop," 50 told Miss Info. "I recognize Mr. Cee as the guy who offered us Biggie, so he means that much to the culture. Now a lot of the kids who hear the radio don't see him the same way. I've played my album for Mr. Cee, and every album came out to see what he thought."
50, who obviously has a relationship with Mr. Cee, went on to offer his advice. "When this type of stuff happens, you keep pushing," he said. "How about if you say I don't care? Who is to judge you when there's an audience that is probably one of the strongest audiences, if you look at Lady Gaga's career, that says that's fine."
Mr. Cee has denied the allegations that he was arrested for a lewd act involving a transvestite, despite police reports.
