LOL: Please Watch Lil Wayne Sing The 'Friends' Theme Song

NFL edition.

Well, here’s something we would have never seen coming in 2017: a Black remake of the 1994-founded Friends sitcom.

And we have Roc Nation’s rap and business emperor Jay-Z and his “Moonlight” music video to thank for that. But that’s not all, because thanks to Young Money’s head honcho Lil Wayne, we now also have another hilarious remake of the television series’ theme song tossed over to the NFL as well.

Kicking off Week 2 of the NFL season, Weezy lip-synced his way through a football-friendly rendition of the Rembrandts' “I’ll Be There For You” single, which has been famously branded as the theme song for Friends. His version, however, is directly purported for a little “don’t go 0 and 2” motivation for the teams playing in the season’s second week. Donned in a purple T-shirt with the legendary Kobe Bryant, a.k.a. Black Mamba’s, game time face on it, Weezy recited the version with lyrical perfection.

“So Colin told you life was gonna be this way,” he hilariously mouths. “O-line’s a joke, you choked, your run game’s D.O.A. You already brought your loyal fans to tears/ ‘cause it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month in like 15 years/ Please, don’t go 0 and 2.”

Aside from being a knee-slapping opener to the heavily anticipated football season, the video fortunately arrives as the first sign of high-spirits from Weezy after a frightening hospital stint. According to sources, such as his longtime manager, Cortez Bryant, seizures have begun crippling his health more frequently than usual, and he’ll be needing some rest to help subdue some of the epileptic episodes.

Despite Weezy apparently being back up on his feet, we hope he’s taking it easy as he returns to his hip-hop and studio duties.

See what else he’s been up to since his hospital release in the video below.
