Marlon Wayans Slams 'Entitled' Baby Mother After New Paternity Suit
Comedian and father Marlon Wayans is going through it after the mother of his toddler, Brittany Moreland, filed a new paternity suit. In an exclusive interview with The Shade Room, the 51-year-old new father called Moreland entitled for wanting more than the $18,000 a month she’s currently receiving.
Wayans said, “It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18k per month for a one-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more. My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2k.”
Wayans cited his two previous children and said he’s never encountered “this issue” before. He said, “All these women having to drag men to court who pay nothing towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor’s salary and says it isn’t enough?”
“I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited,” Wayans said. He’s kept his latest child out of the news cycle because he believes his business is no one else’s. Wayans said, “The baby isn’t a secret. The mama has been posted. But I chose to keep the baby’s private life private. Ain’t nobody’s business. Social media is toxic and dangerous, and I’d like to keep her peace.”
Wayans said he's not challenging the child support amount, even though he’s extremely unhappy about it. He finds it challenging to pay this much to Moreland when he’s considered a “visitor” to his own child. “Do the math. This is delusional. I will let the lawyers and God do what they do. I’ll be creating art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love. Even when it’s bad, it’s good,” Wayans said.
