New Music Friday: NLE Choppa, Ice Spice, Rema and YG Turn Up the Temperature with Bangers

It's Friday again and that means we get to explore new sounds from different artists. Ice Spice linked up with Central Cee for a new hit off her highly anticipated debut album. NLE Choppa went Latin with his Yaisel LM collaboration. Rema is back with his sophomore album.

  • NLE Choppa feat. Yaisel LM - "Catalina"

    NLE Choppa joined forces with Dominican rapper Yaisel LM for "Catalina."

    This single, released with a music video, showcases the Memphis star's ability to transcend genres and bring a fresh, fun, and bilingual dimension to his music. 

  • Ice Spice feat. Central Cee - "Did It First"

    Ice Spice linked up with Central Cee on their first collaboration "Did It First."

    “If he’s cheatin’, I’m doin’ him worse (Like)/ No Uno, I hit the reverse (Grrah)/ I ain’t trippin’, the grip in my purse (Grrah)/ I don’t care, ’cause he did it first (Like)/ If he’s cheatin’, I’m doin’ him worse (Yeah)/ I ain’t trippin’—/ I ain’t trippin’, the grip in my purse (Like)/ I don’t care, ’cause he did it first,” the Bronx native raps on the chorus.

    This song will be featured on Ice Spice’s debut album, Y2K!, which will be released on July 26

    It's been two years since Rema released his debut record. Now, the Afrobeats star has expanded the horizons of his sound with his second studio album, HEIS. The 11-track project includes vocals from Shallipopi and ODUMODUBLVCK.

  • YG feat. Lil Yachty & Babyface Ray - "Stupid"

    YG recruited Lil Yachty and Babyface for his new single, "Stupid."

    “Remember them days I was slidin’ in the Buick / Now I’m up goin’ stupid, stupid,” YG raps on the chorus. “I just took a model off my checklist, stupid / I just put a X to my ex-b**ch, stupid / I’m the type to take by the necklace, stupid / Made it off the block like Tetris.”

  • Common & Pete Rock - 'The Auditorium, Vol. 1'

    Today (July 12), Common and Pete Rock released their first full-length collaboration, The Auditorium, Vol. 1. This album is the past, present, and future happening all at once.

    In the months leading up to the release, the duo released four singles off the album, “Wise Up,” “Dreamin’,” “All Kind of Ideas” and “Fortunate.”

  • Tink - 'Winter's Diary 5'

    Tink is back with a new album, Winter’s Diary 5. It’s the fifth installment of her mixtape series that began in 2012. The 16-track project includes features from Summer WalkerNoCap, Skilla Baby, Jeremih, and Janine.

    d4vd's new single "There Goes My Baby" showcases his experiment with a different sound. This track marks the beginning of a string of releases leading up to the singer's debut album.

    Jae Stephens' new single, "Girls Don't Cheat," brings all the 90s/early 2000s vibes. The singer is creating her own lane in the R&B scene with this track.
