Miami Heat’s Big Three to Host NBA Barnstorming Game
Miami Heat star LeBron James has played in some of the NBA lockout barnstorming games that are gaining popularity across the nation. And now James, along the rest of the Heat’s Big Three, will bring the barnstorming to Miami on Oct. 8 for what is sure to be the most star-studded exhibition so far.
In addition to Heat stars Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and James, ESPN.com is reporting players such as Kevin Durant, Amar'e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford and Rajon Rondo are among many big name NBA players scheduled to play at Florida International University.
The lineup is so stellar that Cleveland Cavaliers first round picks Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson are on the waiting list, if a spot opens up. Other rookies wanting to play are just out of luck.
Adding intrigue to the game, ESPN.com is reporting that the teams will be divided by shoe companies. It will be Nike (James, Durant, Bosh) versus Brand Jordan (Paul, Wade, Anthony).
