Not So Fast! Jeezy Clears Up That Whole Filing For Primary Custody Thing

The “I Luv It” rapper claims that Jeannie Mae has made it difficult to see his daughter, but he still only wants joint custody.

It was recently reported that rapper Young Jeezy filed for primary custody of his daughter Monaco, whom he shares with TV personality Jeannie Mae. However, sources close to Jeezy claim that he’s always wanted joint custody in the long term.

In a new motion obtained by TMZ, Jeezy claims his estranged wife is restricting his access to their 2-year-old daughter. Now Jeezy's asking for a hearing to hash out a temporary parenting schedule -- one which will equally split time between the parents.

Jeezy says he and Jeannie worked out an informal custody agreement last year, which unraveled at the beginning of this year. He claims he's barely seen Monaco this whole year.

Jeezy Requests Full Custody of Daughter Monaco Amid Jeannie Mai Divorce

Jeezy says they agreed to let him take Monaco for spring break from March 3 to March 9 -- but when he sent someone to pick up his daughter for another visit at the beginning of April, she wasn't at the home he and Jeannie shared.

Reportedly, Jeezy claims Jeannie and Monaco have moved out of the home, and he says he often has no idea where the child is -- something he says violates their agreement. He says Jeannie has also blocked his number, so he’s unable to contact her and Monaco via phone.

Divorce is hard enough, but factoring in young children and figuring out how to get along enough to raise them together but apart sounds brutal. Here’s hoping they work things out for young Monaco’s sake.
