We last left off with Joe running up in Nicolai’s cabin to rescue his daughter. He did this alone, which definitely wasn’t the plan but there is nothing a parent wouldn’t do for their baby. Plus, Joe has proven to be smart, even in his haste, so even though his actions are impulsive, he is still surreptitious.

Angela is still in the hospital recovering. She’s not really safe, and she figures that out after she learns that the man she met who had a therapy dog wasn’t authorized personnel because therapy dogs aren’t allowed due to a previous biting incident. He later comes looking for her but she’s a step ahead and takes him down. Meanwhile, Touch and Pam are still on their way to serve as backup for Joe and Leon, obviously unaware of what’s going down, and Cathy is making shady plans with the heroin she found. She ends up at a bar where she tells a drug dealer they need to do business, and he’s interested.

Back at the cabin, Jen starts to writhe in pain, saying something is wrong. Arina tells him they need a doctor and Joe slips in while they are all distracted. Jen was faking it, probably because she saw Joe. She tells Nicolai that the baby kicked and it scared her. That’s enough for him to leave with his goons, comforted that his grandson is okay, but Arina peeps game. Jen isn’t far along enough to feel her baby kick so now she’s giving her the suspicious eye and goes to investigate around the cabin. Then, Jen says she has to pee and one of the goons takes her to the bathroom. She obviously doesn’t have to pee but she stalls by telling the goon to turn around. It turns out, Joe was hiding in the tub. He makes eye contact with Jen and tells her to keep quiet. Another epic battle ensues and they take the goon down and Jen gets out through the window but Joe can’t fit.

Pam and Touch arrive just in time for Pam to scoop up Jen while Touch goes to find Joe. However, he finds Leon in the woods first and they’re happy to see each other. Pam gets knocked out after losing control after Arina shoots her in what is possibly her arm while she’s driving. Jen gets away again but Arina is on her trail.

Finally, the episode winds down with Nicolai and Joe finally coming face to face, and it’s about to go down.
