Lamar Odom's father Joe Odom told TMZ on Wednesday that Khloé Kardashian blocked him from seeing his son at the hospital, but new reports claim the former NBA player's wife didn't have anything to do with his not being on the visitor's list.
TMZ reports that Odom is well enough to communicate with his doctors and hospital staff and make his own medical decisions (some reports even say he is able to walk on his own for short periods of time), and that he is now in charge of who comes to see him. In fact, the insider adds, Khloé left the hospital a few days ago since Lamar is in stable condition and wasn't even around when Joe tried to go up to see his son.
It's not clear if Lamar specifically requested that his dad be banned from the hospital, or if a clerical error is to blame. However, when Joe Odom spoke to TMZ outside of Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where Odom is being treated, he said he had made several calls to gain access and had been denied for two days in a row. 

Lamar and Joe's rocky relationship is no secret, and it's entirely possible that the two-time NBA champion wants to shield himself from negative influences and focus on his recovery, but Khloé wants to make it clear that she's not the one coming between father and son.
