Al Roker just became a first-time grandfather, and one of his Today co-hosts is showing their support in a beautiful way.

On Saturday (July 22), Roker’s daughter Courtney Roker Laga showed her appreciation on social media to her dad’s colleague– Craig Melvin – who gave her new baby a special gift.

In an Instagram Story, she posted a photo of her husband Wes smiling at the camera while holding a giant teddy bear with their baby girl’s name, Sky, earmarked at the bottom, as reported by Today.

She captioned the post, “Thank you @craigmelvinnb,” next to a red heart emoji. “Sky will love this.”

Earlier this month, Al broke the news that his daughter Courtney had given birth on July 3 to her first child, Sky Clara Laga. The veteran weatherman also shared that the family "couldn't be any happier."

When Roker revealed that Courtney had given birth, his TODAY co-hosts gushed about the infant's name. Sheinelle Jones said, "That's really cute that his first grandchild's name is Sky. How cute is that?" Roker revealed that he did not know why the first name was chosen, while he pinpointed the inspiration behind her middle name.

“It had nothing to do with the fact that I’m a weatherperson,” Al said. “And Clara is the name of Courtney’s godmother.”

Of having his very first grandchild, Roker is over the moon excited. “It’s magical. It really is,” Al told co-host Hoda Kotb. “Everybody tells you that it’s going to be this thing and you don’t know — it’s like when they tell you about having our first child.

“And then, to hold this little girl knowing that 30, almost 35 years ago, I held her mom,” he continued. “And here she is ... and she’s just perfect.”

He also said the new parents are "doing great" at home and "taking to parenthood beautifully."
