Terrell Owens Offers Donovan McNabb Advice Following DUI Arrest
Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb had an icy relationship at times when they were teammates for the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2004-05, but that doesn't mean T.O. isn't concerned about his former quarterback's well being.
McNabb was arrested last month for his second DUI arrest since December 2013.
"DUI is a very serious thing. The number of lives that have been lost from it are staggering. It's a blessing no one was hurt," Owens told TMZ Sports. "We may not still be playing, but we still serve as role models. You have to be more responsible. Next time, call Uber."
Multiple people close to the ex-NFL star also spoke to TMZ Sports about McNabb's latest DUI arrest.
"The thing about Donovan is that he really don't give a s**t, but he really needs help," one friend told TMZ.
His friends added that they have urged McNabb to get a personal driver or try Uber, but that he won't listen.
"He refuses to take Uber for some reason," a friend said. "We have tried to convince him, but he refuses."
In news that went public Tuesday, McNabb was arrested after he rear-ended a stopped vehicle at a traffic light in Gilbert, Ariz., on June 28. The former six-time NFL Pro Bowler was taken to a holding facility where he was cited and released. It's unknown whether McNabb took a field sobriety test to reveal his blood-alcohol content level after the crash.
