Michael Jackson’s Daughter Talks Growing Up on Ellen
Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris is out making a name and a face for herself all by herself. Earlier today, she visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about growing up as a child of the King of Pop.
When Ellen asked about the masks she used to wear as a young child, Paris, 13, says she used think, “This is stupid. Why am I wearing a mask?” She now realizes her father was trying to protect them. She says Michael also explained his reasoning and she understands it now.
The budding star remembers wanting to perform after seeing the groundbreaking music-film Moonwalker. She remembers thinking about her father, “I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know can act. I saw that and I was like, wow, I wanna be just like him.”
When she told her father she wanted to act, she explains how he coached her. “We did improvs together and he would say, ‘Ok, in this scene you’re gonna cry.’ And I would cry on the spot.”
The most memorable thing her father said to her was, “If I die tomorrow always remember what I told you. I took his advice and I remember everything he’s told me.” Watch the interview here.
