In the case stemming from his arrest last month, rapper Jim Jones was arraigned yesterday [April 26] on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

According to The Associated Press, a routine traffic stop found that Jones' license was suspended over an unpaid ticket. His lawyer says his client was unaware.

In October 2009, Jones appeared at this same courthouse to plead guilty to an assault charge for beating up Jayvon Smith, manager to R&B singer Ne-Yo, at a Louis Vuitton store in New York City. Last month, The New York Post reported that Jones appeared in court to defend himself against two Texas women who claimed the rap star unlawfully used their half-nude images in his "Summertime" video. 

When asked about his most recent case, he told one Post reporter, "I have no idea what's going on!" he said laughing. "What my lawyer said to do, I do. That's what I pay lawyers for."

This time, however, the Harlem native was in much better spirits as he was seen outside the N.Y.C. courthouse joking and taking pictures with fans.
