Flavor Flav Shuts Down Iowa Chicken Joint
Just a few months after opening, rapper and reality star Flavor Flav’s chicken restaurant shut the doors of its Iowa location for good on Sunday.
Flav’s Fried Chicken had been plagued with allegations of bounced pay checks from former employees. Flav recently yanked the license that allowed his business partner and restaurant manager Nick Cimino to use his name in the restaurant because he “isn’t running the business right,” the Associated Press reports. Camino responded by calling the rapper a “fraud” trying to profit off of his ideas.
Despite these troubles, the former Public Enemy star hasn’t given up on the restaurant business just yet.
Flav announced last week that he’s set to open Flavor Flav’s House of Flavor in Las Vegas May 30. The spot won’t only feature fried chicken with his "special recipe," but will also have a bar, a store with Flav memorabilia, a recording studio and a stage.
