These Are the 4 Additional States Where Police Have Expanded Their Search for Steve Stephens
The search for Ohio killer Steve Stephens intensifies as police in four additional states tag on to the effort. After allegedly shooting and killing 74-year-old Robert Godwin on Easter Sunday, Stephens posted the video to Facebook and disappeared.
Police discovered the last known activity of Stephens's cellphone was a "ping" in Erie, Pennsylvania. Authorities have reason to suspect he is no longer in the Cleveland area, where the shooting of Godwin took place. The 37-year-old suspect could also be in Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana or Michigan.
The search for Stephens began on Sunday night when people reported a disturbing Facebook video of a man killing an older gentleman. During his rant before the shooting, Stephens admitted his ex-girlfriend, Joy Lane, was the reason why he decided to go on a killing spree.
The video posted to Facebook showed Stephens pulling out a gun and shooting Godwin
Due to the potential threat, police are cautioning anyone in the aforementioned states to take caution
The FBI has offered assistance in the search for Stephens, said a spokesperson to NBC News.
In the video, Stephens claimed that he killed multiple people, yet Cleveland police have not verified any additional victims.
An aggravated murder warrant has been issued for Stephen's arrest. Stephens has not been seen since 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The FBI has added Stephens to the most wanted list and is offering a $50,000 reward for his capture
The $50,000 will come from the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and U.S. Marshals.
