Matt Barnes Wins Sole Custody Of His Twin Sons
Matt Barnes just won big in court over his ex-wife Gloria Govan.
According to TMZ, the legal system just awarded the former NBA player sole physical and legal custody of the former couple’s twin 10-year-old boys.
Barnes also obtained an 18-month restraining order over Govan, claiming she’s a physical danger to him. That order was granted through May 2020 but doesn’t extend to the kids.
During Thursday’s (November 8) hearing, the judge ruled that Gloria will get regular visitation rights, including every other weekend from Friday until Monday morning. She also is allowed to have dinner with the boys every Wednesday evening.
Thursday’s hearing also resulted in Govan being ordered to complete 26 sessions of anger management and 10 parenting classes.
Gloria Govan was arrested in September after Matt Barnes claimed she flew into a rage in her car, blocking him from driving their sons away from their school. Govan denied the allegations and prosecutors did not press forward with criminal charges.
